Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CareHome medication management platform, including the caregiver web application and senior check-in portal operated by CareHome Technologies (“CareHome,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Who Can Use CareHome
CareHome is intended for use by adult caregivers (age 18 or older) who manage medication schedules for seniors or other individuals in their care. You may create a senior profile on behalf of someone in your care with their knowledge and consent.
You are responsible for ensuring that any senior profile you create and manage is done with the knowledge and consent of that individual or their legal guardian.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at hello@carehomeco.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Senior access codes generated by the platform are your responsibility to distribute securely. Do not share access codes with individuals other than the intended senior.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use CareHome for any unlawful purpose
- Enter false, misleading, or inaccurate medication or health information
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the platform’s infrastructure
- Use the platform to collect or harvest other users’ personal information
Optional SMS Messaging
SMS text messaging is an entirely optional feature of CareHome.
You may create an account, schedule medications, confirm doses, access caregiver dashboards, and use all analytics and core features of CareHome without ever consenting to or receiving SMS messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes.
How SMS Consent Works:
- Caregivers: You may choose to receive SMS notifications about missed doses by checking the SMS opt-in box and providing your phone number. This is not required for account creation or use of any CareHome feature.
- Seniors: SMS reminders are only sent if (a) a caregiver provides the senior’s phone number and checks the opt-in box, and (b) the senior replies YES or Y to a one-time confirmation text. Seniors are not required to receive SMS to participate in CareHome.
Key Points:
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for support, and START to re-enable SMS after opting out.
The SMS opt-in box is unchecked by default.
Account creation and patient enrollment do not require SMS consent.
Opting out of SMS at any time does not affect your ability to use any CareHome feature.
We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes.

CareHome is a medication tracking and reminder tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional medical care. CareHome does not verify the accuracy of medication information entered by caregivers.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medication management decisions. CareHome is not responsible for adverse outcomes resulting from missed doses, incorrect medication information, or reliance on the platform as a sole source of care oversight.
Availability and Changes
We aim to keep CareHome available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. During the current alpha testing phase, the platform may change frequently based on user feedback.
We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes that affect your use of the service.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code comprising the CareHome platform is owned by CareHome Technologies. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareHome Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to missed medication doses, data loss, or service interruptions.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users or the platform.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@carehomeco.com.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in North Carolina.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or in-app notice.
